CLOSING SPEECH:
Dear Participants,
Two days after the opening of this AICT2009 Conference, we are about to close the meeting which I hope has fully lived up to the expectations of us all.
Over the past few days, we have focused our attention on the Application of Information and Communication Technologies in different areas:
- ICT in Business Administration, Finance and Economy
- ICT in Governance and Government Policy Making
- ICT in Medicine and Health Care
- ICT in Education, Research and Science
- ICT in Humanities and Social Sciences
- Communication, network and hardware
- Application
For some of us, this has been an opportunity to meet our with old friends; for others, an opportunity to make new friends who are working on similar ICT area. It is indeed a pleasure for me be closing the conference with these feelings. I have had a chance to listen to some of the sessions over the past three days and was very pleased with the quality of the discussions that took place.
And the credit goes to our sponsors, without their support this event wouldn’t take place. We wish them all the success in their work.
We owe much to our speakers and to you – the participants who have taken time out of your busy schedules to share your experience with us this week. Many of you have traveled long distances to be with us and we appreciate your willingness to openly share your knowledge management and knowledge sharing experiences from your own institutes’ perspectives.
But, of course, the real measure of this workshop’s success lies in how it will affect you, our participants, or more precisely, how it will affect the actions you will take after you leave Baku. We, at Qafqaz University, look forward to further building partnerships with you and your organizations. I hope that all of us will continue what we have started here these days.
On behalf of our rector, the AICT2009 Conference Co-chair, and the rest of the Conference team and Qafqaz University staff, I would like thank you all for participating in this conference. I wish you all safe journeys as you head back to your home countries.
